Let’s be honest… the hardest part of any health journey isn’t starting - it’s keeping it going.


We’ve all had that Monday morning burst of motivation where we promise ourselves we’re going to do everything perfectly… salads, steps, water, gym, the lot.

And then real life walks in like, “Absolutely not.” 😂

So today I want to share a few healthy habits that are simple, doable and don’t require turning your whole life upside down. These are the things that help me stay on track even on the busy, chaotic, dog-sit, Vinted-parcel, Avon-brochure kind of days. Let’s get into it 👇


Track What Actually Matters to YOU

Not what Instagram says. Not what some fitness app says. What you want to stay consistent with.

For some people it’s calories. For some it’s steps. For others it’s water, sleep, protein or just “I ate three proper meals today.”


Pick 2–3 things max. Master them. Then build from there.

Make It Easy to Choose the Healthy Option

Set your environment up to support you. This is one of the biggest Good Vibes principles... don’t rely on motivation, rely on setup.


This looks like:

  • Having grab-and-go fruit

  • Prepping a few lunches

  • Keeping healthier snacks in the front of the cupboard

  • Using smaller plates if portion control helps

  • Pre-planning dinner if you're counting calories

Keep a Water Bottle You Actually Like


Hydration sounds simple, but if your bottle is ugly, leaky, or annoying… you won’t use it. Find a bottle you genuinely enjoy drinking from, and suddenly water becomes easy again.

Make Movement Convenient

Not every day is a 10k-step day - and that’s fine. But having movement options that take zero effort makes a huge difference.


Think:

  • A short walk

  • A quick YouTube workout

  • Stretching while the kettle boils

  • Mobility exercises while watching TV

Movement doesn’t have to be a production - it just needs to happen.


Don’t Wait for “Perfect”

If you only do things when you’re motivated, you’ll do them… let’s be honest… once a week at best. Healthy habits stick when you do them even when you can’t be bothered... but in the smallest way possible.


Not a 30-minute walk? Fine. Do 10 minutes. Not a perfect lunch? Fine. Do your default one. Not a full workout? Fine. Do stretches.

Consistency beats perfection every single time.
